The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Sacred Heart will be collecting non-perishable food items in early December both to replenish our food pantry and also for the families of students that attend Cristo Rey High School. Cristo Rey provides a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to high school students with limited financial resources. The school will be preparing Christmas food baskets for their students’ families from the food we provide.
Non-perishable food items in need include cereal, oatmeal, pancake/waffle mix, syrup, canned fruit, hot chocolate, fruit/dessert cups, canned meals, such as soup, chili, baked beans, crackers, canned tuna, chicken, Spam, ham, roast beef, frankfurters, canned vegetables, energy/granola bars, microwave popcorn, boxed cake, brownie, cookie mixes, frosting, peanut butter, jelly/jam, condiments such as, mustard, mayo, ketchup, salad dressing, bag or boxed rice, dried or canned beans, boxed cornbread mix, marinara sauce, pasta, and mac & cheese.
Please check expiration dates as we cannot distribute expired items. Most families have limited storage space, so smaller sizes are preferred vs. jumbo sizes.
