The Pastoral Council strives to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit among God’s people in the parish by giving its help to the pastor in fostering the pastoral activity of the parish. It is pastoral in nature, not administrative. It investigates all those things which pertain to pastoral works, and proposes practical ways to enhance these works. Meetings are held on a monthly basis. The current members are:

The Finance Council advises the pastor on parish financial affairs and plays an active role in the preparation and monitoring of the parish budget, the regular review of the school budget/operations, and of the Annual Parish Financial Report, as well as quarterly income/expenditure reports, submitted to the parishioners and to the diocese. The pastor consults with the Council on any major commitment of parish resources in excess of $15,000 before permission is requested of the Diocesan Bishop. Meetings are held at least on a quarterly basis. The current members are:

The Sacred Heart Parish School Foundation was established in 1983 to provide financial assistance to the parish school, especially in the form of tuition grants. Every year, from the earnings of its endowed fund, the Foundation makes a grant to the school that is used for financial assistance for families who need help with tuition. A second fund is also controlled by the Foundation, providing monies for immediate school needs that are not covered by the ordinary budget. This fund is made up of donations that are specifically donor-directed. All other donations are placed in the endowed fund.
