Our Parish Funeral Reception Ministry has been dormant for some time. Thanks to volunteer coordinators, Cleo Ner and Eleanor Diaz, we are once again able to offer caring hospitality to grieving families and their friends by offering food and fellowship following Funeral Liturgies. However, they cannot do it alone! We are hoping to have enough volunteers to create a rotating schedule. Volunteers are needed to help with set up, clean up and serving a light luncheon reception in the Parish Hall. To volunteer speak with one of the coordinators or call the Parish office at 916-452-4136 ext. 2. Thank you!
All are welcome, wherever you may be on your faith journey. We are grateful to parishioner Elke Schlosser, a trained grief and loss facilitator, for guiding the meetings. Connect with others coping with loss in a supportive and safe environment. Weekly meetings will be held on Sundays from 4-6pm at the parish. Meetings will start promptly at 4pm so please plan to arrive a few minutes early. There is no charge for the meetings. Please call the parish office at 916-452-4136 ext 2 to sign up and to get the exact meeting location.
