School Website
Sacred Heart Parish School is a coeducational parish school of approximately 300 Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through eighth grade students. Its core values of faith, knowledge, community, and service are intertwined. Since our founding in 1934, we have been committed to keeping the Catholic faith alive and to building a strong, integrated curriculum focused on the whole child: spiritual, academic, physical, social, and emotional. After 75 years on the original school site, the Parish School relocated across 39th Street into a new, state-of-the-art school where it continues to offer a quality Catholic education to families of East Sacramento and beyond.
Fall Festival
On the first Saturday of October each year, the School and Parish sponsor a Fall Festival with games, food, and fun. The event held on the school campus is open to the neighborhood as well as to parish and school families, and school alumni often attend and meet up with old classmates.
Holiday Home Tour
The first weekend of December each year is devoted to the Holiday Home Tour in East Sacramento. Homeowners whose homes are selected each year donate their houses to be decorated for the holidays by leading Sacramento Interior Designers and Florists. The general public from all over Northern California comes to tour these decorated homes in one of the City of Sacramento’s most beautiful neighborhood. The Tour also sponsors a café and boutique on the school grounds.
Crab Feed
Each February sees the Sacred Heart Crab Feed on the calendar. Serving crab, pasta, salad, and dessert, the dinner is held in the school gym and tickets sell out quickly. The school classes each provide a large basket of goods that are raffled off. The evening is capped off by dancing.
