You are called! Just as a family cannot function without the help from all of its members, our parish family needs help from all its members in contributing of their time, talent, and treasure.
Often when we hear the word stewardship, the first thing we think of is money. Though the gift of income is indeed from God, it is just one of the many gifts we have been given. Giving from the gift of treasure is important for the operation of our parish, our diocese, and many charitable organizations.

Loving Father, you alone are the source of every good gift. We praise you for all your gifts to us, and we thank you for your generosity. Everything we have, and all that we are, comes from you. Help us to be grateful and responsible. You have called us to follow your Son, Jesus, without counting the cost. Send us your Holy Spirit to give us courage and wisdom to be faithful, grateful, accountable, generous, and willing disciples of your Son, who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
It begins with the time spent in relationship to God, the Giver of all our gifts. This starts with weekly Mass and, when possible, more frequently. Time spent in various forms of prayer (Rosary, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, etc.) and time spent with the Word of God in the Bible are ways to spend time in relationship with the Lord.
Giving from the gift of time can also be done in many ways through the parish and community. Sacred Heart has many opportunities available to each of us: serving as a greeter, lector, religion teacher, social outreach minister, etc. We invite you to look at all of the various ministries Sacred Heart has to offer. We hope you will find at least one to join.
God gives each person talents, typically referred to as our areas of strength. Giving back by using those talents is very rewarding. Some talents are obvious gifts; others are revealed in a less visible way. Some examples may be as simple as a good listening ear, some may be more spiritual such as leading a Bible study group. Whatever your gift, take the time to discern how you will use it in service and pledge lovingly to serve God and the Church.

For many people, the decision to give financially is not as difficult as it is to decide when and how much to give. When choosing the avenue in which to give, it is best to think in terms of proportion and intention. Simply put, give in proportion to what you have received and be intentional in determining how much you will give and where you will give. Consider your parish and your diocese and always examine charitable giving to support the needs of your community and the world community.
